23.5 HOURS PER WEEK | 1 YEAR TEMPORARY CONTRACT | TERM TIME ONLY
SALARY: £13.62 – £13.83 per hour (SCP 5 – 6) |START DATE: 1st SEPTEMBER 2025
HOURS: MONDAY: 9.15am – 4.00pm and WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY: 9.45am – 4.00pm
Based in Catshill, Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College is a further education provision for students aged 19-25 whose special educational needs arise from their physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs. In addition, some of our students have profound and multiple learning difficulties, sensory impairments and/or communication difficulties.
In preparation for September 2025, we are pleased to announce that we have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), on a one-year contract, to complement our outstanding team.
The role of an LSA is varied and consists of supporting teaching activities and assisting with the changing and personal care requirements of some of our students.
The work of an LSA often involvesthe manual handling of students. Applicants therefore need to be physically fit and capable of working co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that applicants are ambitious for our students, have the ability to empathise, can work positively with individuals’ needs and are adaptable with a good sense of humour.
Previous experience of working with adults with a physical disability would be an advantage but it is not essential as a bespoke, robust training package will be provided. It is essential that you are willing to be trained to administer medication if necessary.

Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College is a 19-25 provision for students aged 19-25 whose special educational needs arise from their physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs. In addition there are students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, including sensory impairments and/or communication difficulties.
We are looking to appoint Personal Care Assistants to join our outstanding team. If you are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs, have a caring nature, a flexible approach, and a desire to support students in achieving their full potential – we’d love to hear from you!
As a Personal Care Assistant you will be required to support students with their personal care in a variety of activities, for example; getting ready for their swimming sessions, support during lunchtime and in some lessons.
The work of a Personal care Assistant often involves the manual handling of students. Applicants therefore need to be physically fit and capable of working co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that applicants are ambitious for our students, have the ability to empathise, can work positively with individuals’ needs and are adaptable with a good sense of humour.
